KAREN NATHANSON
Teen & Parent Coach
Los Angeles
Karen is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and also holds the designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coach Federation.

Her interests in exploring different cultures and her natural curiosity about people have etched an interesting path that has led her to life coaching. Her own unique life experiences included the many challenges of being an ex-pat in both France and Hong Kong, becoming a single parent, and eventually forming a modern blended multicultural family. The fact that she is a genuine “people person” has contributed to making Karen a compassionate, curious and intuitive Life Coach. As a coach, Karen encourages her clients to expand their creativity, deepen their learning, move beyond their self-limiting beliefs, and embrace their true potential. Using her positivity and humor, Karen puts people at ease and creates a safe space where change and growth can occur. Karen works with adults and families, but coaching teens is her passion. Trained in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), Karen also uses relaxation, breathing and meditation techniques. Karen coaches in both English and French.
As a teen life coach, she creates a safe and non-judgmental space to share their triumphs, explore their struggles, seek answers and develop tools to help them along on their journeys. Teens are faced with so many conflicting pressures these days: school, family, friendship, dating, college, decision making, body image, self esteem and self compassion, just to name a few. By helping them recognize their strengths and core values, teens gain clarity about who they are, what they want, and where they want to go. Through thought-provoking questions and exercises, Karen supports them to find solutions from within. It empowers them to know that their strong and creative voice - often overshadowed by doubt and self-limiting beliefs - is always with them.
